TopDown Caps came to fruition from our blue collar roots. As a family living on a small farm, but having other day jobs, required us to have a pickup that could serve many functions. However, a regular truck bed is not great at safeguarding loads from inclement weather or securing items from potential theft. Tonneau covers are not helpful for loads that exceed the height of the truck bed. (Some of us know the fun of packing for a family vacation and trying to squeeze everything into the more confined tonneau cover space). A traditional truck cap, still had the following drawbacks

• Required bending in awkward positions when loading and unloading

• Impractical for materials such dirt, stone, brush, etc.

• Caps with removable roofs require extra unnecessary storage when unattached

• Removing the entire cap from the truck is labor intensive

  This led to our first patent pending product idea… Let’s make a truck cap that can stay on a pickup truck and meet nearly every need someone would encounter regardless of the truck bed load. We look forward to having you join us on the journey.
